Pick of the Month: Lancome Juicy Shakers

If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, I’m sure you’ve seen these babies around–I’m literally OBSESSED with these Lancome Juicy Shakers.

To be honest, it’s a refreshing change to matte lipsticks that people are so obsessed about. I mean, I love my liquid lipsticks and matte lippes, but my lipsticks have seriously taken a back seat since I got these ridiculously sweet smelling lip oils from Lancome!

Shake It, Twist It, Love It! Colors that turn you on!

A seriously addictive lip oil with a pillowy-soft cushion applicator for a delicious shot of color with a hint of shine. Shake it up with the latest innovation: Juicy Shaker’s bi-phase technology delivers the first pigmented lip oil with 2 distinct phases. The first phase is a transparent oil phase for a comfortable non-sticky shine. The second is the pigment phase for a shot of color. Shake Juicy Shaker like a cocktail shaker to mix the pigments and oil. The cushion applicator enhances application by delivering the perfect ‘shot’ of addictive non-sticky shine and a sheer tint of color to your lips that is simply irresistible.

They say these are the next generation lip balms. So nourishing, you’d be obsessed in putting it on over and over. I got my Lancome Juicy Shakers from Incheon Airport Duty Free for USD24.00 and realized I wanted more so when I saw these babies at Philippine Duty Free, I got another one for USD25.00. In the US, these Lancome Juicy Shakers are sold for USD21.00 and you get more shades to choose from.

Each shade or flavor has a different scent, so picking your favored shade would already be so much fun. I find that some of the shades look too similar to each other when applied so I guess the scent would really play a part in picking. I ended up getting Wonder Melon and Mangoes Wild.

What’s so intriguing about these Juicy Shakers are the cushion application tip, which is the bounciest applicator I’ve ever used. If the packaging and the scent of these Juicy Shakers are not enough to let you be obsessed with them, wait until you let these cushion tip touch your lips–it’s like kissing marshmallow bunnies (if there is such a thing!).

What I love about these Lancome Juicy Shakers is that the cushion tip actually hold enough product to cover your entire lips in one application. You can either dab the product on your lips or swipe it around–the cushion tip makes the application really fun. Your lips are instantly nourished with the oils after every application.

In fact, these Lancome Juicy Shakers has 4 nourishing oils that treat your lips like a lip balm: Peach kernel oil; a well-known emollient softens lips while Sweet Almond oil conditions and Cranberry oil provides rich anti-oxidant properties. Muscat Rose oil is rich in essential fatty acids and helps to soothe lips. No wonder I find myself putting these on even before bed time!

Here’s the swatch of my Mangoes Wild and Wonder Melon–I think they look quite similar, one is a tad brighter than the other, but the scent of each shade is just divine.

Since these Lancome Juicy Shakers have pigments in it, after shaking to mix the oil and pigment components together, the product actually gives your lips a wonderful wash of color. The oil normally lasts for about 2 hours on my lips, but the color lasts the entire day–perfect for perennially pale lips like mine!
