Product Review: Tealia Raspberry Truffle Loose Leaf Tea

I love tea time. I enjoy drinking a cup of tea in the morning more than drinking a cup of coffee. And I love it when I find a unique, great tasting tea like this Tealia Raspberry Truffle Loose Leaf Tea.

Since this is loose leaf, I had to buy a metallic tea ball from Cook’s Exchange in Rockwell for Php210.00. Although you can just put some of the loose leaves in your cup and let it sit at the bottom, you’d have a much nicer drinking experience if you put the loose leaves inside a tea ball or tea infuser.

This can contains 100g of loose leaf, which can probably a minimum of 50 cups. You don’t even have to fill the entire tea ball. I’d normally fill 1/3 of it and steep in a teapot for 3 to 5 minutes. A teapot can fill 2-3 cups. So when you do the math, it’s really more than 50 cups–not bad for its price. 🙂

I picked this up from Robinson’s Supermarket for a little over Php380.00-ish. What prompted me to pick this up from the shelf was that it had truffle in it. It was my first time to see truffle being included as a tea ingredient so I gave it a go. Good thing, this tea tastes amazing–it’s light and had a sweet hint of the aroma of raspberries. I really enjoy having a cup or two of this Tealia Raspberry Truffle Dessert Tea during this cold rainy season. 🙂

What’s the difference of this and milk tea? I mean the taste. Matamis din ba? Ako mahilig ako uminom ng milk tea, nung college ako milktea lang ako ng milktea na parang naging addiction ko na haha. I don’t know but there’s something in milk teas na hahanap hanapin mo yung lasa.
