Now that Clarisonic has proven its worth in my vanity table and that even after a year I am still in love with it, I would like to share with you the reasons on why I got this over Foreo Luna Mini. I’m sure a lot of you girls are very enticed of getting a beauty gadget, especially now that both Clarisonic and Foreo Luna are available locally through online retail stores.
At the time that I was planning to purchase invest in a beauty gadget as a Christmas gift to myself, I was choosing between these two very popular brands Clarisonic and Foreo Luna.
Side by side comparison would tell you that both are nifty tools to clean your face better using sonic skin cleaning, which basically help you slough away dead skin cells and decongests pores without scratching through its pulsating or oscillating brushes.
At that time, there was no price issue since both are of the same price range, with Clarisonic being USD10 higher. Both has amazing battery life that lasts forever, and both are waterproof–meaning you can take them in the shower.
While Foreo Luna looked more modern and high-tech, what sold me in getting Clarisonic is the fact that the brushes are replaceable. I know a lot of people thought that they are saving so much with Foreo Luna because they wouldn’t have to buy replacement brushes, but let me put logic in that–
Imagine your toothbrush and how it accumulates all those grime and dirt in between the bristles. The same logic applies to your Clarisonic and Foreo. With daily use, it is inevitable that dirt from your face can seep through the nook and crannies of your gadget. I mean, I see the color difference every time I pull out a new brush head to replace my old one. In essence, by having to replace your brush every 3 months, you are sure to start with a clean slate.
This has been the main selling point of Foreo, that you can save by not buying replacement brushes. But think about it, do you think there is a technology in your rubber-made beauty tool that can ward off bacteria? I don’t think so. And the thought of using one brush to my face forever actually grosses me out. Thus, I am very much convinced that Clarisonic is the better choice–at least, in terms of hygiene.
Clarisonic has surely come a long way. They have released so many new brushes that you can experiment with. Aside from that, the latest Clarisonic Smart Profile, which costs about USD265.00, has a 4-speed system that self adjusts and has an indicator if you need to replace your brush. To be honest, their 2-speed Mia 2 is enough. And unless you are willing to pay for another USD120.00 for brush replacement indicator, their USD145.00 tagged Mia 2 can do the job pretty well.
How about you? Have you every considered any of these beauty tools?
