Funny how basic the restaurant’s name is. Most drivers I know hate Makati for their one-way streets. Going inside the streets of Legazpi Village would take you forever–especially during rush hour–because of these one-ways.
So when my beau and I spotted this restaurant aptly named One Way, we got curious like two moths approaching a light bulb.
One Way was packed on a Saturday evening. Luckily we were able to grab a table as soon as we entered the restaurant. While waiting for our order, we were given this complimentary salmon-topped appetizer (I really don’t know what it’s called…)
I chose something unique from the menu. Well, for me their Aligue Pasta (Php370.00) was unique enough. Haha!
I love the creaminess of the pasta and the hint of aligue or crab fat in it. However, I find the serving a little small for its price.
Their best-seller Pamplona Pizza (Php580.00) is made with Jamon Serrano, Spanish Spicy Chorizo, Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes & Lemon dressing. I was looking to have some arugula in my meal so this pizza was perfect to feed my craving (my boyfriend and I were thinking of getting Dear Darla earlier that day).
Oh, and don’t you worry, the chorizo is not spicy at all. I love how everything in this pizza blended well in a nice and refreshing take to your ordinary pan pizza. Plus, One Way uses their signature sourdough, which is basically a thin crusted pizza that doesn’t sag when you hold the pizza in one end. 🙂
I’m sure there are still a lot of hidden restaurants in Salcedo Village that needs discovering. But if ever you are caught in bad traffic and you happen to be stuck along Salcedo cor Benavides St., go ahead and park your car as One Way is worth your visit.
