Candela Hair Removal from Shinagawa Lasik and Aesthetic Center

Stay away from bikini boo-boos by getting rid of all those unwanted hair permanently.

Today, I’ll share with you my recent treatment from Shinagawa’s signature hair removal Candela Laser.

As you may know, there is no machine that can completely eliminate hair. As much as you would want to have your hair permanently gone, all of the laser/IPL machines you see would just reduce hair growth up to a certain level. Thus, even if I have already completed sessions for underarm and Brazilian, I still have my booster sessions once a year.

Before any procedure at Shinagawa, you will be briefed by the doctor about the treatment and the technology. During this session, you may ask all the questions you have in mind just so you can set your expectations with the results of the treatment.

Candela Laser is a non-invasive treatment that selectively heats the melanin causing localized damage to the hair follicle thus making the procedure very effective. However, it’s not for the heart-fainted.

I was told by the doctor that normally you’d need 6 sessions to remove the hair completely and with 4-6 weeks interval. The machine is not like most IPL/Diode treatments where a cool and clear gel is applied on the skin first. The machine directly contacts your skin to zap any hair off. So you can just imagine, if you have low pain tolerance, how it would feel to do the Brazilian session. I believe for underarms it wouldn’t be much of a problem.
