Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) Movie Review

I have been a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series since I was a kid. I remember how happy I was when I figured out the names Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello were actual names of artists during the Renaissance period. I swear I felt so smart then. Lol. So when the movie was set to come out this year, I know I just had to see it (Spoiler alert!!!).

Even though TMNT Movie has had so many bad reviews even before it was actually released in cinemas, I was really looking forward to watch it.

I went to watch the movie myself last Wednesday. I was like a kid eager to open her presents on a Christmas morning. I was excited for the movie, really. And I didn’t even know Megan Fox was playing April O’Niel–to which, I’d have to say, she looked soooo pretty! Megan Fox might not be the perfect April O’Niel but it was smart for the producers to cast her and give a pull to the movie.

The movie basically showed the history of the turtles and how they came to be. It was the back story that I never knew. Who would’ve known that the turtles were actually pets of April when she was little?

The movie was pretty shallow. However, no one would really be looking much about depth in such animated movies. I’m sure you wouldn’t be watching TMNT because you wanted to see Megan’s acting caliber.

You’d probably be lining up for TMNT because you were a fan of the cartoon series when you were little and it just feels good to share them to your younger brothers or sisters or whoever. It sort of bridges generation gap or be nostalgic about it.

I enjoyed the movie. TMNT is meant to entertain and it served its purpose. It’s meant to make kids learn something–that is, to always love your family (…and that we’re all suckers for pizza! Haha!).

I don’t remember, though, that the turtles loved eating Pizza Hut specifically. But that’s actually a good product placement for the brand. Anyway, let me know what you think about the movie through the comments box below. Who knows, you might win this month’s Reader of the Month beauty loot! <3

I’m a big fan of Ninja turtles and I also have their action figures when I was a kid. haha. 😀 Back then, I can say that I’m an avid fan of them and I am really happy watching their series everyday. 😀 That’s why when I watched the trailer, I told to myself that I should watch this movie on its first day!! Haha. I can say that, the results of this movie are lively and funny enough to keep adults enthralled as well as kids. Who would have expected a great martial arts movie from guys wearing turtle costumes? 🙂 I love it and I think other peeps would not like it because they are expecting more about this movie. If I will rate it 1-10, I’ll rate it 8 🙂 <3

I love that movie so much that I watched it twice and I was entertained. I remembered when I was a kid, I usually woke up early just to watched the cartoon. I’m a big fan of Michelangelo now and yes Megan Fox is a perfect actress to portray as April O’Neil, somehow her acting improved a lot. 9/10 for the Turtles! 🙂
