You probably live in Mars if you haven’t heard of them getting hitched. True, the wedding was really over the top. But if you have the money to spend, why not?
Here are the top reasons why you have probably tried to Google about #DongYanWedding and wish yours would play the same way–of course, aside from having Dingdong as your groom. <3
1) The Wedding Dress
Marian reportedly wore a Php2-Million Michael Cinco dress in full Solstiss lace embroidered with French paillettes, sequins, and Swarovski pearls; encrusted with hundred thousands of white and clear Swarovski crystals–whew! that’s a whole-lot!
2) The Bridal Shoes
On the left you see a pair of Miu Miu’s worn during the ceremony and on the right is a gorgeous studded Christian Louboutin heels.
3) The Bride’s Tiara
Obviously this wedding paid attention to every detail adorning the bride with a mother of pearl crown reportedly made in Lebanon.
4) The Church Set-Up
I never knew there’s a church in Cubao that can be this beautiful. Yesterday, the Immaculate Conception Church in Cubao was transformed into a beautiful fairy tale venue with 8 bishops and 7 priests officiated the wedding. Plus, the Presidential Security Group was there to guard parts of the church.
5) The Wedding Banquet
The lavish wedding reception held at SM MOA Arena was accompanied with fresh red roses on every table.
6) The Extravagant Flower Arrangement
OMG I need these in my own wedding. Period.
7) The Booze
Even the barrels of wine to be served for the guests are personalized.
8) The Menu
It included the bride’s Sinigang na Hipon and the exquisite Calamansi Sgroppino, among others.
9) The Wedding Souvenir
Ok, taking a mental note now.
Just when I thought having actual souvenirs have already become a passé (since most weddings I have attended recently had Photobooths for convenience), #DongYanWedding carefully thought of these wedding souvenirs to give the guests.
10) The Wedding Cake
This 7-Million 12-feet 12-kg 5-tiered 3D-mapped wedding cake was the talk of the town even after the wedding. This larger-than-life animated and fully edible cake took one month to be made and was brought to life by Goldilocks. Oh, and this grandiose cake was actually the groom’s idea.
A little bird told me that the wedding costs roughly about Php 20-Million, which spiked rumors that the event may have violated some Philippine Civil Code regarding thoughtless extravagance. I say, let them be, they have worked hard for the money they’ve spent anyway.
Anyway, may this post give you good thoughts to bring towards the coming new year!
Have a happy and safe NYE! xx
