A New Way to Enjoy Your Quaker Oats

I have always stayed away from oats. To be honest, I never liked the its texture especially if it’s soaked and soggy. But attending Quaker Oats’ event last week showed me a new way of consuming oats–have you heard of overnight oats? *wink*

Quaker’s own Quaker Overnight Breakfast Club – led by Joyce Pring, Wil Dasovich, Patti Grandidge and Lauren Young, each shared their favorite Overnight Oats recipe. Starting off with half a cup of milk-soaked oats in your jar, add whatever fruit or nut toppings that you like, pop it in the fridge overnight, and you’re set to grab and go the next morning. Basically, Overnight Oats is your solution to never skip breakfast and enjoy a quick healthy breakfast every morning.

We were given a chance to make our own jar of overnight oats. Here’s how mine looked:

It was my first time to try overnight oats and I must say, one jar is definitely filling–enough for one full meal! As you can see, I filled my jar mostly with nutritious berries because I know they have lots of anti-oxidant properties to combat my daily stress.

For people with lactose-intolerance, you may use almond milk or soy milk to soak in your oats. You don’t even have to cook your oats because the milk will do that for you overnight as you soak it in.

Share your healthy mornings and be a part of the Quaker Overnight Breakfast Club with the hashtag #QuakerOvernightBreakfastClub. You can also win prizes from Quaker if you upload your healthy morning overnight breakfast oats creations on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag.
