I’m sure you know I just got back from Bangkok, and while I didn’t have much time to go around the city to shop, this Jo Malone perfume made it all worth-while. <3
Peony & Blush Suede Cologne – The essence of charm. Peonies in voluptuous bloom, exquisitely fragile. Flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower. Mingling with the sensuality of soft, blush suede. Luxurious and seductive.
Jo Malone fragrance is divided into 6 families: Citrus, Floral, Light Floral, Woody, Fruity, and Spicy. This Peony and Blush Suede falls under Floral. And for someone who is not into floral scent, this is something refreshing to me.
While I was presented with the entire line of Jo Malone fragrance, I gravitated towards this and English Pear & Freesia. However, I ended up getting this since I’m sure this wouldn’t be that bad especially I know that Blair Waldorf loves Peonies. lol!
Launched in 2013, this scent is very mild and dainty. I can’t say it’s fit for summer but I think it’s great for dinner dates and special occasions. At first spritz, you can smell a nice crisp scent of apples as it transforms into a mix of floral notes as it lasts longer on your skin. I still don’t detect the scent of blush suede though.
Top note is red apple; middle notes are peony, jasmine, carnation and rose; base note is suede.
I’ve read that Peony and Blush Suede is perfect to be layered with Pomegranate Noir. I can’t wait to get that in 30ml to try. I got this Jo Malone perfume from Bangkok Airport Duty Free for only USD110.00, with free body cream.
