Must Try: BBQ Pork Buns from The Dimsum Place in Fishermall

If you hate waiting in line for food, I say ditch Tim Ho Wan and head over to Fishermall. You don’t have to wait for hours to have a taste of the famous BBQ Pork Buns from Hong Kong. Get the same delicious tasty buns sans the long lines at The Dimsum Place in Fishermall.

Aside from their yummy pork buns, which is definitely comparable to Tim Ho Wan’s, I love ordering radish cake at dimsum restos. The Dimsum Place’s radish cake is extra special as it is fried at the right crispiness without the burn.

Of course we also got some Hakaw (shrimp dumpling) and Shrimp Vermicelli Rolls.

Another authentic dimsum place staple would be chicken feet. Although I don’t really eat this…

Something new to their menu: Asado Noodle Soup. I really really loved this bowl of noodles as it tasted just the noodles I used to eat in Hong Kong. The soup had that same lingering taste that I love.  <3

For drinks, I tried their milk tea, which tasted like your usual Asian milktea wherein it tasted tea-ish that the sweet, fattening, and commercialized milk tea that I prefer. LoL.

Oh, and here’s something that Tim Ho Wan in the Philippines looked over: an actual take out counter for the convenience of everyone. You can conveniently order Chinese pastries and pork buns to go without having to fall inline to wait for seats inside.

So the next time you’re craving for Tim Ho Wan pork buns, here’s a better alternative: check out The Dimsum Place in Fishermall Quezon Ave and you’ll forget about Tim Ho Wan in no time.

I work near Tomas Morato but it’s a shame that I still haven’t visited Fishermall. :/ It’s just a 5 min. jeep away. But wala talagang time magliwaliw. Anyway, that pork buns look superb nga. hindi burnt, hindi rin hilaw. Hakaw and other dimsum are just so so for me. Di rin ako kumakain ng chicken feet. 🙂 But I haven’t tried Tim Ho Wan either kasi nga mahaba lagi ang pila lalo na kapag weekends. :/
