I loved my Perfume Pods since I got them last month. I only bought 2, which was not enough for all the perfumes that I have so I was really planning to buy some more. Then I saw this Sprayco Spray Atomizers in True Value for only Php315.00–I mean, I just had to buy one to try!
So today, let me share with you if this ‘me-too’ product is a good alternative to Perfume Pods.
I was really happy when I got these Travalo Perfume Pods last month from Duty Free for USD8.00 each (that’s Php370.00ish converted to local currency). So when I spotted this SprayCo alternative in True Value (original price Php450.00 less 30%, so Php315.00), I picked up one to try.
I’ve seen similar travel atomizers in Beabi–and it was cheaper than these two! But when I closely checked the sprayer, it didn’t look as sturdy as Travalo’s so I didn’t bother to get those.
However, these Sprayco looked okay. In fact, the chromed spritzer of Sprayco looked more expensive than Travalo’s black plastic spritzer. Plus, it came in an all metal body, which was like in Php700.00+ value with Travalo’s.
Both brands give a fine mist, which I love. While Travalo’s can have up to 65 spritz, the smaller Sprayco version can hold up to 50 spritz. That’s not an issue, though. The REAL issue for me was this Sprayco is leaking like crazy! You can see from the photo that the spritzer on the right (Sprayco) is wet. Dolls, those are my J.Lo Live Perfume leaking out of the atomizer! 🙁
So was it worth it? DEFINITELY NOT! Sadly I can’t have this exchanged or returned since I already threw away the receipt. The remedy? I went to SM Aura and got more Travalo Perfume Pods (and it was Php499.99 less 20%, so Php399.00 in the local retail outlets!).
