First Impressions: LadyKin Vanpir Dark Repair Cream

When LadyKin mailed me a couple of days back to choose which product from their line that I’d like to try, I didn’t hesitate to pick the first product that piqued my interest–their Vanpir Dark Repair Cream (Vampire Cream).

What I love about this Korean brand is that they offer a whole range of cosmetics and skincare using affordable, high-quality and eco-friendly ingredients that are free from parabens and synthetic colors. If you’re into natural and eco-friendly cosmetics, LadyKin is a good choice to shop your beauty prods with.

So when I received the package last night, I was excited to finally try this unique product. I mean, where in the world can you find a “vampire cream”?

The key ingredient of LadyKin’s Vampire Cream is the Dragon Blood Resin Extract. Don’t fret! You are not slathering real blood on your skin with this product. In fact, the ingredient is derived from a tree that grows in the Ecuadorian and Peruvian amazon area. This tree, when cut or damaged, secretes a red colored organic substance as if spilling blood.

What’s more interesting about this is that the Dragon Blood Resin Extract is proven effective in calming, relieving skin stress and skin irritation. It helps restore skin’s elasticity and prevents skin damage at the same time.

Whitening & Anti-Wrinkle care
Having Arbutin, the ingredient for whitening effect and Adenosine, the Anti-wrinkle functional ingredient, it prevents coloring the skin and improves the fine lines, keeps the skin resilient and bright

Skin protection
Hydrogenated coconut oil, Croton Lechleri Resin Extract, Centella Asiatica Extrac relives the skin stress from environmental pollution and helps to keep healthy skin.

Brightens the skin tone for the rough skin
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water with rich vitamin and polyphenol ingredients and Vitamen E makes the skin keep transparent and balanced

Supplies moist and nutrients
It helps to strengthen the skin moist shield for improving anti-wrinkle and whitening effects. The Cream with the ecocert certified ingredient, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water and Rosa Damascena Flower Water, and Croton Lechleri Resin Extract living in Amazon repairs the skin and makes the skin elastic and moist

LadyKin’s Vanpir Dark Repair Cream has a double functional effect: it’s whitening and anti-wrinkle. Not that I wanted to become any whiter, I just needed my face to become more even as I noticed some sun spots sprouting in the recent years and I wanted a nice glow on my skin. Plus, applying anti-wrinkle creams at the age of 28 is a good preventive measure.

The scent is not over empowering. The cream has a lovely scent–it smelled clean and has a hint of floral notes in it. Another good thing to mention is that even if it’s moisturizing, this product didn’t make my face feel oily/greasy when I wake up in the morning. I also loved how it made my skin soft and baby-like in the morning.

I’ll let you know how it goes after I finish the jar. LadyKin Vanpir Dark Repair Cream comes in a 50ml jar at Php1,700. Lucky for you, it’s on sale right now at Php1,360.
