I’m sure you’d know by now that Japanese food is the closest to my heart. I’m always up for a serving of California maki/temaki or some dynamite roll. And when I see a photo of a nice bigger-than-normal-sized tobiko slathered California roll, I simply find it hard to pass this by.
We all know that an order of Shrimp Tempura is always a good choice. What I liked about Watami’s Shrimp Tempura is that you can really taste the tenderness of the freshly cooked shrimp.
I actually had a difficult time picking my main entree as I was contemplating between a bowl of ramen or donburi, but eventually this bowl of Salmon Tobiko Donburi won me over. The serving wasn’t as grandiose as it was on the menu, but it was good nevertheless satisfying.
My mom was curious to try their Teriyaki Chicken Steak so we also had that. The sweet teriyaki sauce smothered chicken meat was complemented by the buttered veggies on the side.
To cap off our meal, we ordered their best-seller macha ice cream. It was served with red bean, jellies, mangoes, mochi balls, and a dash of whipped cream on top.
