Kapitolyo is probably my least explored foodie haven. Usually, I’d go there once in a while to claim my reserved Avocado cake from Lia’s and that’s it.
So when my beau and I were trying to look for a new place to dine in aside from my favorite Maple, we decided to check out Kapitolyo and found ourselves enjoying the dishes from Nav Modern Thai Cuisine.
The restaurant was featuring this new Stanford x Shaw Ginger Ale (Php150.00)–never heard of it!–so I decided to get a bottle as soon as we got there. The taste is mild compared to most ginger ales I’ve tried.
Checking out the menu, I was contemplating between getting a Tom Yum Soup or a Laksa. I ended up going for the Laksa (Php350.00) for the fear that their Tom Yum might be too spicy for my taste. Each order is good for sharing.
We decided to order their Wok Squid (Php295.00), which both my beau and I enjoyed very much. It’s a simple battered squid dish glazed with some sweet sauce. This goes perfect in countering the mild spiciness of my Laksa. ๐
For rice, we got Nav’s Catfish Rice (Php250.00).
We never thought we’d enjoy Thai cuisine this much as each dish we ordered surely hit all the right spot. ๐
So the next time you stumble upon Kapitolyo, be sure to check out Nav Modern Thai Cuisine.
