Pick of the Month: Jane Be Pure Aguaceuticals Sheer Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30

I have been scouting for a nice natural and/or organic product to do my review. While searching for new brands to introduce to you guys, I stumbled upon Jane Cosmetics. I’ve never held my hands on this brand as it’s not really sold in the Philippines yet. So I thought it was a good idea to try it out. Plus, it’s organic. How bad can it be? And since it’s summer, it’s quite a no-brainer to pick their tinted moisturizer as my product of choice.

I had a little boo-boo when purchasing this product. Since it’s an online purchase, I just relied on the photos for the shades and I picked the wrong shade. It was a little darker than my skin. But since it’s summer, I thought maybe it’s time to sport a tan.

I was a bit conscious when I first wore this product. I am not used to have my face look darker than what I remember it to be. But this product is effective in evening out the lighter shade of my face from my neck.

Blending the product is easy. Since Jane Be Pure Aguaceuticals Tinted Moisturizer has a sheer coverage, it really didn’t turn my face too far from my desired tan-ness. It sits quite well with my separate SPF product as a base–though this product is packed with SPF 30.

What I like most about Jane Be Pure Aguaceuticals Tinted Moisturizer is that it’s lightweight and I feel that it’s perfect for Manila’s hot weather. A little goes a long way and it’s long-wearing. It can last for more than 8 hours without forming creases on my face, unlike other lightweight foundations I have tried. I think this is also perfect for summer as tinted moisturizer is a much better alternative for lightweight foundation.

Jane Cosmetics is one of the drugstore brands in US and Canada that’s been gaining popularity lately. In 2008, they were hailed as the #1 mineral makeup brand in US, according to AC Nielsen. What I like about this brand is that they offer innovative cosmetics at drugstore price. Janefills a niche between value and prestige cosmetic lines. The quality is great but it won’t hurt your budget.

Jane Be Pure Aguaceuticals includes natural hydrating products made with active naturals and certified organics such as: White and Green Tea – a known antioxidant for anti-inflammatory and skin care; Organic Aloe; Lemon Balm and Comfrey complex which hydrate and moisturize to reduce the appearance of fine lines on skin. Jane Cosmetics’ Aguaceuticals line were all prominently marked as organic, free of parabens, and all-natural.

You can try out Jane Cosmetics through online stores or ebay.ph

I may have gotten the same thing from the same store, just that I purchased the one with pink undertones. How was the consistency of yours?

OOh! Mine’s olive. Pink undertones fit caucasian skin.

        I’m asian, but more cool-toned!
But the Jane tinted moisturizer for pink undertones looks more peachy than pink. The other Jane foundies were very pink though. How did you apply yours? How was the consistency?

I use a flat top brush and buff it in really well. Consistency’s not thick and not too runny. 🙂
