Since I have used up my Clarisonic Gentle Hydro Cleanser, I have been looking for a good (and accessible) replacement for my daily facial routine using my Mia 2.
I have read in a lot of forums that it is not advisable to use scrub facials since the beads may get between the bristles and God-knows-what will it do to your Mia. Since I’m not really fond of using my Shu Uemura cleanser, I scouted around Watson’s and found this new cleanser from St. Ives.
I chose this over Neutrogena and Cetaphil because it has green tea and I’m a sucker for all things green tea. Green tea has been known to fight skin breakout and irritation. It is packed with anti-oxidants to help protect your skin from sun damage and wrinkles.
St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Gel Cleanser contains 100% natural extracts to clear breakouts and acne. Although I’m not really acne-prone, I like to make sure my face is always clean and clear from blemishes.
St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Gel Cleanser is oil-free and paraben-free. This product is non-comedogenic so it won’t clog your pores. Aside from that, it has salicylic acid to get rid of dead skin cells that may trap in dirt and cause acne.
Just a small pea sized pump is enough to lather the whole face. What I love about this product is that your skin feels super clean after every wash but it doesn’t strip the moisture off your skin. The invigorating green tea scent makes your morning facial routine more relaxing, especially when used with Clarisonic.
I guess this is a good, cost effective replacement for your original Clarisonic cleanser. Although Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser may also come in as a good second.
You can conveniently get St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Gel Cleanser at any Watson’s store for only Php224.00 (200ml).
