The cats are out to play!
Over the weekend I took two of my kitties with me at Waggin’ Tails event, which was sponsored by Science Diet.
We got there a little past 2pm and the line by the registration booth is already long. I was planning to bring my youngest Button and Calico. But since they haven’t had their shots yet and they don’t have vet records yet, we decided to bring Twinkle and Star, my famous rescues from C5 elevated U-turn.
It was a little too hot for my cats and obviously Star is already stressed by the heat and the new environment. So I asked Ate Flor to calm Star down and wait by the covered shed. There they were able to get to know another cat-parent with their pretty ktity Sasha.
Since the Philippines is a dog-dominated country, most of the attendees at the event brought dogs. There were only a handful cat-parents that I saw. Likewise, majority of the booths in the event cater to dogs.
The heat last weekend was a bit too much for our furbabies so it was really cool for the organizers to turn this fountain sculpture into a mini water-fun-park for pets. Although it didn’t benefit my cats, I’m sure the pups had so much fun playing with water.
We took a quick round at the booths in the event–there were grooming stops, pet accessories, even free vet consultation available.
We took time to stay at the Kitty Play Pen to check out the kittens available for adoption from Cats of Manila. Twinkle and Star were feeling a little shy so they weren’t able to spend time socializing with the other kitties in the play pen.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading this post and see you at our next pet event! =^,^=
