Sky High Bar, Kapitolyo

Right at the heart of Pasig stands an amazing food spot that offers 360-degree view of the metro while you sip your daiquiri in one hand and embrace the cool night’s breeze. Sky High Bar in Kapitolyo, Pasig is on the 22nd floor of Ace Hotel & Suites–you ride the lift to the 21st floor then take a flight of stairs to the roof deck of the building.

On a Wednesday night, the place is quite spacious. I guess this place is still undiscovered by many–had my friend not tell me about this place, I would not have known it either.

That’s my view from where I was sitting. I don’t know which part of Metro Manila this is but they say you can view The Fort, Makati, and Ortigas from Sky High Bar.

If you compare this restaurant with Skye Lounge in Fort, you get more room and a better view with Sky High. I guess the place is great for friends who would like to have their get together this holiday season since the place is really huge and if you want privacy, you can easily pick your spot away from other guests.

I decided to have a quick meal while having some drinks. The menu is a little limited though. The ambiance is more romantic since the music is more subdued. If you want private talks and romantic dinners, you can come here. If you want a partyer, more energetic vibe, check out Skye.

Overall, I liked the restaurant–it’s spacious, it’s private, parking’s not a problem and the food is great! I have one problem though…

… the seats are too low! 😛

Since I was in the mood for a little partying last night, I decided to continue the night at Tipsy Pig with a glass of dirty salted caramel martini.
