Top 5 Thursdays: Let’s Pencil It In!

I think liner pencils should be a staple in every girl’s makeup kit. Gone were the days when eyeliners are just eyeliners. Now they come in wide range of colours and vast uses. Here are my top favorites as of the moment:

1) Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-lasting Eyeliner in Jade

One of my absolute favorites, this cool mint green liner brings out the green in my two-toned contact lenses. Plus, it’s Chanel, what’s not to love?

2) Etude House Play 101 Gel Liner Pencils

These non-sharpening pens are amazing as they are multi-purpose. It comes in 50 amazing shades that can work as your lipliner, eyeliner, spot concealer, browpencil, eyeshadow, contour, highlighter, blush on, and whatnot. I love that although the product is creamy, it stays on smudge-proof throughout the day.

I have been using #10 (Nude) daily on my waterline to open up my eyes. Try it, I’m sure you’ll love them, too!

3) Oreaf Colorful Stick Shadow

This one is something I’ve had for quite a while now. Oreaf is a Korean brand carried by Orangebox beauty subscription service. I love using this metallic jumbo pencil as a base when I’m packing metallic mineral shadows on my lids for a smokey eye look. The pencil don’t have much color payoff on its own but it works great as a base for your loose powder shadows or pigments.

4) NYX Jumbo Liner in Milk

Come on! Who doesn’t know the wonders of NYX Jumbo liners–especially this one, in Milk? I got this from their retail store in Manila and I have been using this as the most effective base to make my bright eyeshadows pop beautifully against my skin.

5) Solone Magic Waterproof Eyepencils

Solone is a Taiwan cosmetics brand that is very famous for their waterproof and budge-proof liners. And when I say waterproof, it stays beyond belief. This is the first eyeliner brand that I have loved so much as it stays on my waterline, like, forever. It doesn’t bleed or cause me any of those messy under-eye effect. The color just stays where you apply them. And for the price, at Php350.00 each, I think it kicks all the other waterproof liner’s butt.

So here’s my favorite liner pencils. Some of them are easily purchased on retail stores, some I had to scout for online. But you know I’m always on a hunt for amazing makeup products.
