Top 5 Thursdays: Balms Away!

Summer’s the time to let your skin shine. That’s why I skip heavy lipsticks in summer and go for tinted balms. Here are my top lip balm picks to keep my lips smooth, kissable, and healthy looking.

1) Nivea Med Protection SPF 15

My favorite balm to apply at night before I go to bed. I love how it goes on smooth and non-sticky. Oh, and this is very affordable at Php90.00 so you can go ahead and reapply as much as you want!

2) Burt’s Bees Lip Balm

I love the tingly mint sensation of this balm. It’s also not sticky, which is perfect during this hot and sticky summer weather.

3) Etude House Sugar Tint Balm

My new favorite! I have been using Etude House Sugar Tint Balm in Grapefruit Tea and I love how the pinkish nude tint gives enough healthiness on my lips. This tinted balm is moisturizing with jojoba oil, organic argan oil, and vitamin E to keep your puckers kissable all the time!

4) The Body Shop Dragonfruit Lip Butter

I love the smell of this lip balm and so I would always swipe a coat every after bathing or brushing my teeth to help retain moisture on my lips. It’s very lightweight and it gets absorbed easily by your lips so you may want to reapply often. But it does the job in keeping my lips smooth and pretty.

5) Tony Moly Magic Lip Tint Delight

This shade is the most pigmented among the range in Tony Moly Magic Lip Tint Delight. So when I’m feeling a little extra pale, I love applying some this in Red Berry. It contains argan oil and rosehip oil to nourish my lips and keep it supple. Like most Korean lip products, this one smells too yummy not to eat.

I’m honestly a “manang” when it comes to lip products. I still prefer to use Petroleum Jelly. hahaha.. old school lang ang peg! hahaha.. but really.. I even still use it as an eye makeup remover since I don’t have any makeup removers aside from my cleanser. I also use sugar to exfoliate the skin and lips. But I’ve tried using the Burt’s Bees Lip Balm when I attended a blogger’s event and I get to take it home! (^….^) hahaha… I live for the giveaways and I’m so thankful to those generous people out there. Happy Thursday Ms. Jirbie! (^….^)

Oh I see everyone is talking about the Etude House a lot but I’m not sure if it works because I used to be so so disappointed with their lipsticks T.T Seeing it featured in your blog, definitely give it a try 😀

yes! you should definitely try this one. Although it’s a lipbalm, it gives an opaque tint on your lips, depending on the shade you choose. I’d go for grapefruit tea if I want a sheer and natural tint perfect for summer.
