It’s my first time to ever visit Taiwan and I was really excited about this trip. I was looking forward to check out their beauty shelves and see all the interesting stuff I can bring back to the Philippines.
I went with my parents and we checked in at The Grand Hotel. The hotel was pretty huge and designed in a very traditional Chinese setting. According to my mom, The Grand Hotel is the equivalent of Manila Hotel in the Philippines.
Oh, and the hotel is situated on top of a mountain so we’ve got some great view right there.
Breakfast buffet is included… and they basically served the same thing every day. I enjoyed the mixed nuts and the generous supply of fruits and veggies in the morning. <3
Of course, we had to stop by at 7/11 and bring home some snacks in case we needed something to munch on in the hotel room. To be honest, Taiwan’s got some pretty interesting snacks and drinks–my favorites are the plum chips and mojito drink.
Oh, and I grabbed some Taiwanese Yakult as well. Hehe.
The good thing about our hotel is that they have free shuttle rides to MRT points and bus stops. Also The Grand Hotel has bus rides to and from the airport that costs only NT90.00 per head. According to my mom’s friend our hotel is a good choice since going around is convenient. The bus stops directly at the hotel lobby entrance so we didn’t have to walk somewhere just to ride the shuttle or MRT.
On my next post, I will be writing about my Shilin Night Market experience. Au revoir!
