I finally got my COVID19 booster

Last Tuesday, I finally had my booster. I specifically chose Moderna, based on my personal research from various studies on heterologous vaccination suggests that the combination of viral vector vaccines and mRNA vaccines produces good levels of antibodies against the COVID-19 virus (SARS-CoV-2) and a higher T-cell response than using the same vaccine (homologous vaccination) whether in a primary or booster regimen.

Here’s my RapidTest Antibody Kit result–it showed I have an active IgG antibody. ICYMI, I just recently recovered from COVID19 as well. So I actually pushed my vaccination booster schedule for a few days later. Luckily, I got an available slot just 5 days later.

My booster shot went smoothly. Fortunately, there weren’t much people during my schedule. I went on a 1pm sched and I got vaccinated in 2 minutes from arriving at the vaccination site. It was very well organized as well as it was a private corpo-organized vaccination site.

It’s been 3 days since my booster shot and I didn’t experience any side effects. The most, I guess, would be the tenderness on the injection area, but that’s it. I didn’t experience any headache, nausea, chills, nor have I felt feverish. I was thinking perhaps I just recently recovered from COVID19 and I just underwent all the possible “side effects.” However, I do felt more sensitive to heat the past 2 days, but I can’t quite attribute that to the booster shot as most of the people I have spoken to (who also took the Moderna booster) experienced having chills aka ‘shot shivers’ and not the other way around.

How about you? Have you had your booster shot? Did you decide to go for a heterologous vaccination or homologous? Any side effects after the booster?
