Have you ever wondered what goes beyond that McDo counter? Well, lucky you dear reader! I can take you around and give you a sneak peek as I was invited for a McDo Kitchen Tour earlier this week!
Last Tuesday, I was invited to an exclusive Kitchen Tour at their McDonald’s BGC Forum Branch. The tour highlights the preparation of our favorite breakfast items Cheesy Eggdesal and Egg McMuffins. It also gives us a glimpse of McDonald’s safety and high quality standards in food preparation.
The first thing that caught my eye was this automatic bun toaster. You just shoot it down the chute…
…et voila! The buns come out toasted!
Here’s Kuya Gilbert preparing the folded egg, as another kitchen staff was preparing Hotcakes:
The toasted buns are buttered before layering the fluffy folded egg with creamy American cheese.
Oh, and did I mention that my favorite Cheesy Eggdesal is now available with Ham, with Sausage, or with Tomato and Onion? Yay!
Next, we make the Sausage McMuffin, which is another iconic breakfast favorite:
Grabe, ang bilis mag-flip over and wrap ni Kuya Gilbert. Nahihirapan mag-catch up yung camera ng iPhone ko! lels.
Finally, Kuya Gilbert shows us how the Egg McMuffin is done:
The Egg McMuffin is made of warm, toasted, buttered English muffin layered with melty American cheese, a perfectly cooked egg, and a slice of lean Canadian bacon. The flavor is freshly toasted English muffin, with mild egg, butter, and cheddar cheese flavors. Plus the sweet and salty smoked cured pork flavor… Sarap!
Each order of these favorite breakfast items are best enjoyed with Hash Browns and a cup of McCafe Premium Roast 100% Arabica Coffee.
Oh, and before I end this post, I would like to invite you to the 4th National Breakfast Day! Yay!
Enjoy the BEST MONDAY EVER! On March 14, more than 400 participating McDonald’s breakfast restaurants nationwide will be giving away free McMuffins to customers from 6:00AM to 7:00AM. Each customer will be able to get his or her free McMuffin on a first-come-first-serve basis via dine-in, take-out, or drive-thru.
Looking forward to that Monday that you wouldn’t hate? Share your excitement on McDonald’s official Facebook page, facebook.com/McDo.ph, or tag @McDo_PH on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #NationalBreakfastDay. For more information on the 4th National Breakfast Day, visit www.mcdonalds.com.ph.
PS, Thank you Kuya Gilbert and the friendly staff of McDo BGC Forum. Also to Mr. Ziggy Felongco, McDonald’s QA Officer, for taking us around. 🙂
