Pepper was discharged from the hospital 3 days ago and he’s been recovering from his operation since. As you can see in the picture, the doctor was able to flush out his bladder and clean it from debris.
***warning: graphic photos of the surgery***
Here you can see Pepper’s swollen bladder. Luckily, we were able to confine him in the hospital early on. It could’ve been much worse if we waited for another day or even an hour. His urinalysis showed good results, too.
He was still a bit groggy when we brought him home and quickly bought his medications from the vet. The operation at MACE was about Php11,000, including the 3 nights stay and IV medications.
Good thing, Pepper’s appetite is slowly coming back to normal. We’ve started to give him natural boiled food mixed with his usual canned food. We’ve also switched his food from Tri-Pro to CatCare. Hopefully none of my other cats will get Feline Lower Urinaryy Track Disease (FLUTD) ever again.
