For a girl with chinita features, one of my daily challenges is making my eyes appear bigger than it really is. And we all know what the magic of “curling your lashes and put on two coats of mascara” can do.
Etude House Lash Perm All Shockara Mascara promises shockingly long, thick, curled, and waterproof eyelashes. Apart from the cute packaging, which most Korean cosmetics inherit, is this worth your bucks?
There is something about these slim type brush mascaras that I really love. It helps me reach those tiny hairs on the side better. Aside from having chinky eyes, my lashes are really short and sparse–something common to Chinese girls. So trying out Etude House Lash Perm All Shockara Mascara is such an excitement for me.
After having two coats of mascara and curling them 3x, I noticed my lashes are really really volumized. Like, thick black ones–I loved it! As for the lengthening and curling part, I’m not so sure of that. Maybe my lashes are too stubborn to be curled by this product alone that I had to curl it three times with my lash curler. I didn’t notice any length improvement either.
But what I loved most is the waterproof promise. This was my problem with my old mascara. I think my lids are too oily that I tend to get panda eyes at the end of the day–something that made me believe that even waterproof mascara is not for me.
Here comes Etude House Lash Perm Shockara impressing me with clean undereyes. Sure, there are some smudging. But the smudges went well nicely as if they were shadows of my lashes, making my eyes appear to have more volumized lashes. No panda eyes at all! And with that result, after putting this product to test running under the scorching heat of the sun, I really think this product is for keeps.
