I will be out for a couple of days starting tomorrow as I will be boarding on a cruise to Visayas. It’s a sponsored trip that I am very much excited about.
Anyway, while packing, I have summed up some of the beauty basics that I think are important for every girl to tote around while traveling. Let’s begin with:
1) Sunblock – Aveeno’s SPF 100 Facial Sunblock or Shu Uemura Whitefficient UV Under Base Brightening Mousse
I can not stress the importance of applying sunblock–especially when you are expecting to be out and about the entire day. You would need at least an SPF 30 to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to have premature wrinkles and sunspots as early as 30. My favorites are Aveeno’s SPF 100 or Shu Uemura’s SPF 50 Whitening UV Mousse.
2) Toner – Ladelu Clean Slate Witch Hazel Toner
I love Ladelu’s Clean Slate Toner. It helps that it’s in an atomizer bottle so it’s convenient and handy. Witch hazel is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial ingredient that can cleanse, tone, soothe and care for your skin. During the day when I feel hot, I just spritz some of this product on my face for a refreshing boost.
3) Moisturizer – L’Oreal Pure Zone Anti-Imperfection Moisturizer
Whenever my skin feels dry, L’Oreal Pure Zone Moisturizer has been my go-to product for years now. The crisp clean scent and gentle formulation has made me repurchase from one product empty to another. It has salicylic acid to help clear out dry patches of your skin and reveal a supple, younger looking skin.
4) Facial Wipes – PureDerm Makeup Wipes in Aloe Vera
When you’re too tired to wash your face, a good facial wipe comes in handy. I have always been partial to beauty products with Aloe Vera in it. Aloe Vera is a great ingredient to hydrate, moisturize and rejuvenate the skin. It also promotes healing and gives a soothing effect.
5) Lipbalm – Carmex Click Stick
Traveling can mess up your body balance. The altitude, humidity, and other factors may affect your skin’s condition. Bringing a trusty lipbalm wherever you go may come in handy. Carmex Click Stick helps soothe my lips when they become too dry and tight.
6) Neutral/Nude Lipstick – Happy Skin Cosmetics lipcrayon in Spring Fling
When traveling, I think it’s important to keep your makeup light. I normally stick with my concealer-blush-lipstick routine, that’s it. My current favorite is Happy Skin Cosmetics’ Spring Fling. The shade is in a nude-orangey tone that’s perfect for any attire that I am wearing.
7) Statement Lipstick – Virginia Olsen in Divaluscious
It’s also a good idea to keep with you one bold lipstick during your travel. It can be a rich, bold red like my Virginia Olsen lipstick or a bright pink one. Either way, this statement lipstick can come in handy whenever you need an extra pop of color later through the day.
8) Waterproof Eyeliner – K-Palette 24h Tattoo Eyeliner
A sweep of some nice bold eyeliner is sometimes all you need to look put together. Do a little winged liner or a bold cat’s eye and you’ll be set to rule the world.
9) Dry Shampoo – Made by David Organics Dry Shampoo
You hairy may become limpy and flat during long flights and travel. A dry shampoo that does not come in an aerosol can may come in handy in your hand carry to instantly give volume and texture on your crowning glory before you step out of the plane.
10) Perfume – Escada Marine Groove
Always carry with you your favorite perfume. Transfer it to a smaller atomizer and tote it around everywhere. You’ll never know, it might be prince charming whom you’ll bump into. 😉
So here are my travel essentials. How about you? Can you share with me what are your travel must-haves?
Happy Monday!
