Girls are really fickle-minded with regard to their tresses. Last last year, I felt that I wanted a new look from my usual bust-length hair so I chopped it off to shoulder-length. This was the shortest I went since gradeschool.
Now, I felt that my lob was starting to feel a little blah and I was itching for a change. Luckily my hair fairies granted my wish when I was invited by Vivere Salon to have a hair makeover.
Here’s my before shot–as I was waiting for the highly-trained staff of Vivere Salon to set up:
The folks at Vivere decided that I should get a Balayage, a French free-handed highlighting technique that will make your hair look perfectly sun-kissed–like a subtle blended ombre.
Sir Hector, Vivere Creative Director, started off by bleaching the ends and some random strands of my hair.
While letting the bleach sit, Sir Mel did the coloring for the rest of my tresses so the roots and ends would match perfectly.
For my shoulder-length hair, it takes about 2 to 3 hours to finish the Balayage effect.
And here’s the final look:
See how the subtle highlights of the ends are blended so well with the rest of the hair?
Thank you so much Sir Hector and Sir Mel. Of course, thanks for Vivere Salon’s Marketing Team Godfrey and Glaiza for inviting me. 🙂
