Pili Ani Ageless Concentrate 1 Week Review

Our battle against extremely parched skin can be daunting. Good thing I was able to snag this bottle of Pili Ani Ageless Concentrate during their sale last May and, I must say, it has helped improve the overall texture and elasticity of my skin.

I have been curious about Pili Ani’s best-selling Ageless Concentrate since I first laid my eyes on it. So when I saw that it was on 30-off last May, I grabbed the chance to own a bottle–it was a good deal and it sure didn’t disappoint.

Ingredients: Canarium ovatum (pili) oil, coco-caprylate/caprate, caprylic/capric triglycerides, isoamyl laurate, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, Canarium luzonicum (elemi) essential oil, Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, glyceryl caprylate, glyceryl undecylenate, fragrance (hypoallergenic)

Looking at the ingredients, this bottle is made predominantly with Pili pulp oil (carrier oil), Elemi essential oil, coconut oil, other coconut-derived esters and fatty alcohols as emollients, and humectants.

The formula is not greasy nor heavy on the skin. It gets absorbed quickly by your skin and I love the weightless feel upon application. The smell isn’t as pungent as you may expect from your typical Pili pulp oil and it doesn’t reek heavily of synthetic cosmetic fragrances as well.

I first tried applying the product like this:

BE VERY CAREFUL. Too much product can risk running the serum straight in your eye… and that’s not fun. No, actually, it stings like hell!

And so here’s your professional Aromatherapist tip whenever carrier oils or essential oils accidentally go in your eye: GRAB YOUR COLD FULL CREAM MILK and soak your eyeballs in your palm filled with milk for a few seconds before you rinse with clean flowing water.

Oh, and by the way, this happened twice and so I’ve very well learned my lesson THE HARD WAY. ? And so I’ve been applying my Pili Ani Ageless Concentrate this way (so every eye is saved!):

I only use the serum at night. And, in the morning, my skin feels supple and rehydrated. You can use the serum even as a primer or before applying your makeup but I tend to want to keep my routine simple and as lean as possible.

I also did a video to show you my routine when I decide to spend an extra 10 minutes to myself as part of my self care routine with my Pili Ani Ageless Concentrate:

Have you tried Pili Ani’s Ageless Concentrate? How did you find it? Let me know through comments!
