Aurora borealis or northern lights is a natural light display in the sky caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the high altitude atmosphere. Reading about aurora borealis and australis has always fascinated me since I was a kid.

I drew inspiration from the northern lights to sweep blended colours of green, blue, pink and purple on my lids to create a festive but wearable look. All eye makeup is from Urban Decay Mariposa Palette.
